Steve Levy

Steve Levy began his insurance career in 1988 and began focusing on transportation insurance in 1992. His experience ranges from working with large transportation companies to small operations. Because of his specialized expertise in transportation insurance, Steve has underwriting relationships with all the major writers of this class of business in the United States.

A graduate of the University of Hartford, Steve began his insurance career immediately after college by joining Allstate Insurance and obtaining insurance licenses in life and health as well as property and casualty. He later worked for the H& R Phillips agency, specializing in commercial lines. Shortly afterwards, he began writing transportation insurance for Arthur J. Gallagher as part of an in-house underwriting program with CIGNA Insurance Company. In 1995 he left Gallagher to join Capacity Coverage to help grow its transportation business.

Steve Levy is an expert in ambulance insurance, school bus insurance, para-transit insurance, limousine insurance, and bus insurance. His experience includes developing and implementing employee handbooks, driver safety manuals, and workers' comp safety manuals. He has also developed transportation risk management/loss control programs using GPS, which have successfully reducedlosses.

In addition, he has created insurance programs for major real estate clients covering both large construction projects and real estate companies with multiple entities in several states.
